This Clarendon Hills home underwent a major update, shifting from traditional to fresh, functional, and family-focused. We started with a full repaint and new lighting throughout, creating a fresh foundation that immediately shifted the tone of the home. From there, we introduced bold wallcoverings in select moments to add personality and visual interest while keeping the overall palette cohesive.

Furnishings were thoughtfully selected with durability in mind. With three young boys, every piece needed to balance style with real-life function. We leaned into clean lines and inviting textures, choosing materials that could stand up to everyday use without sacrificing the overall design vision.

In the powder room, we created a high-impact moment by pairing a dimensional tile feature wall with a modern, graphic floral wallpaper. While it reads as elevated and artistic, the wallpaper is vinyl, making it a practical choice that can withstand splashes and daily wear.

The dining room brings a more layered, tactile experience. A leather chandelier adds warmth and edge, while grasscloth wallpaper introduces subtle texture and depth, creating a space that feels both refined and approachable.

In the sitting room, we reimagined an existing fireplace that had previously blended into beige surroundings. By enveloping the walls, ceiling, and trim in a rich green, the fireplace becomes a true focal point, adding contrast, character, and a sense of intimacy to the space.
